In calm waters protected by an outer reef, this tour follows the rugged Ko'olau mountain range, past an ancient Hawaiian fishpond, and up a tropical river. With the mountains rising to over 2600 feet, the views from the water are spectacular. When the sun is out, the shallow water shows its natural turquoise color and the landscape is covered with bright green vegetation. When it rains, a waterfall plunges from a nearby cliff, and the surrounding peaks are blanketed with clouds. To top it off, the paddle is almost effortless with the consistent trade winds blowing at your back. Kahana Valley State Park is a "living park", home to 31 Hawaiian families that help maintain Hawaiian values and lifestyle. This tour is sure to leave a lasting impression!
